Hue with Terncy Home Center

Light in the dining room is too cool, want to make it warmer.

Light in the bedroom is too bright, want to make it dimmer.

Light in the living is too dull, want to make it more colorful.

Terncy home center supports Philips hue lights in a test version v2.6.62. Hue can work with terncy smart dial, change the lights by rotating smart dial.

💡Tip：Update Terncy app to 2.1.6 or above.

How to add a Hue light to Terncy Home Center

Add automatically

  1. Make sure the hue light you want to add is not added to any bridge.
  2. Power on the device.
  3. Go to the Terncy app device memu, select Add device.

Through Hue App

  1. If the hue light is relady added to the Hue bridge, remove the device from Hue app.
  2. Go to the Terncy app device memu, select Add device.

Use Hue Smart Dimmer Switch

  1. Go to the Terncy app device memu, select Add device.
  2. Put the Hue Smart Dimmer Switch near the hue light which you want to add.
  3. Press the “-” and “O” button on the Dimmer switch together, until the hue light you want to add stops blinking.

How to create an auto dimming lights by smart dial.

Adjust brightness by rotating smart dial

  1. In the Terncy app, tap “Automation” in the tabbar, tap “➕”.

  2. Tap “Use the smart dial to control brightness”.

  3. Tap “➕” on the right side of “Add smart dial”, choose the smart dial(s) you want, and tap “Complete”.

  4. Tap “➕” on the right side of “Add dimmable light”, select the ligth(s) you want, and tap “Complete”.

  5. Tap √ upper the right corner to save the automation.

  6. The created automation will be listed in the automation page, slide on the left to delete the auto.

💡Tip：Applys to with Hue lights support brightness adjustment.

Adjust color temperature by rotating smart dial

Tap “Create Automation” in the automation page, and tap “Smart dial control color temperature”. The rest set up steps can refer to the set up steps of “Smart dial control brightness”.
